Hello,

My name is Seanna Conway and I am the Ladies Development Officer for the Dundalk Bulls Ice Hockey Club in Dundalk, County Louth, Ireland.   

I am writing in the hopes that any teams or clubs from your area would perhaps be interested in travelling to Ireland at some point in the future to play our women’s team.  Please keep in mind that most of our team is quite new to the game, and we are aware that the calibre in Canada and the USA is very high, but perhaps there are women’s teams who have only been playing a few years who would like to play us.  I know this would be very expensive, but with proper planning, I believe it would be a wonderful experience for our club and any club that came to play us and see Ireland.  We have a beautiful country here, and plenty of accommodation and sights to see.

We have a beautiful facility, the Dundalk Ice Dome, which is the only ice rink in the Republic of Ireland.  In 2007, the Ice Dome hosted the Division III Men’s World Championships, and in 2009, we will be hosting the Under-18 Division III World Championships. 

If you know of any teams that might be interested in doing this, please forward them this email or my contact information.  Ireland has hopes to enter a women’s team in the 2009 Division IV World Championships in Poland.  Therefore, we need all the practice and development we can get.  It may be too short of notice to do anything before then, but we can even start planning and securing ice time for games at any date in the future.
