Why should I choose Arizona Angels Dance Studio over others in the area?

Our assistant instructors are teamed with our head coaches to provide complimentary skills to their classes. We literally have hired the most exceptional coaches and choreographers in the industry.  We have raised the barre not only for our dancers…but also for our STAFF!  We typically have 20 members on staff at Arizona Angels. In addition to our amazing staff, we have one of the most beautiful facilities dedicated to Dance in the Country! The Angel Studio is 5,000 square feet with three beautiful dance studios, locker rooms, staff and dancers' lounges, and a dance boutique.

What makes Arizona Angels dance programs different from other dance studio in Arizona?

     The Angels studio is truly like no other studio in the country!   We not only specialize in our Nationally ranked Competitive Pom, Jazz, Hip Hop, and Lyrical teams, we are the best training facility for up and coming super stars!  Our Performance Teams and Open classes are designed to provide the new or more advanced dancer with excellent instruction and amazing opportunities to PERFORM!

 

Is being involved with the Angels Competition Team expensive?

Competitive Dance is just like any other serious sport!  It requires practice time (2-4 times per week) 8-10 weekends dedicated to competitions.  The in state and several out-of-state competitions are from November- April. This sport is not inexpensive, but there is so much value gained by participation including: hours of physical training, skill development, self-esteem building, community outreach, performance opportunities with the most beautiful costumes, amazing competitions, and team building!

 

 

 

My child has never danced before.  Do you have a spot for her/him?

We have a spot for children with varying levels of ability! All they need is desire! From our Performance teams, to Competition Teams, we provide a team for dancers ranging from 2--college!  “Angel babies” steal the show every year at the Suns game!  And our International Open Jazz team has dancers who are in college!  We are the largest and most successful All Star Dance Competition Studio in Arizona, so we are able to have several teams in each age group, giving the Novice, Intermediate and advanced dancers the appropriate team placement. 

 

 

 

My daughter is considering trying-out for her high school pom/dance team.  How can Arizona Angels help her?

The best way to increase you dance or pom skill- is to PRACTICE those skills!  Being a member of a highly competitive team will prepare your daughter for the challenge!  Hours of rehearsal, physical conditioning, extreme flexibility classes, jazz technique, ballet, kick-line rehearsal, hip hop routines, arm motion refinement, jumps, turns, leaps…. There is SO much to learn! The actual participation in dozens of Competitions will also prepare your child to handle the stress and excitement of try-outs!   Arizona Angels had eight 8th graders make their high school varsity squads this year!!  We know what the high school coaches are looking for!

     Over the past 20 years we have participated in the most amazing performances! Some of our most exciting events include:

*The WORLD Dance Competition at Disney World in Orlando, FL.

*Easter Egg Roll at the White House- sharing the stage with Hanna Montana and the Jonas Brothers.

*Christmas Spectacular Parade- main street Disneyland

* Fiesta Bowl Parade -19 years!

*Phoenix Suns Half-time show- 18 years!

*The 2005 Inaugural Parade in Washington D.C.

*BCS College Championship Football Half-time show in New Orleans.

*Pulse on Tour- New York City, Las Vegas, Denver, and LA.

*Goodwill Games Opening Ceremony in Australia.

*Saint Patrick’s Day Parade in Dublin, Ireland.

*Euro-Disney in Paris.

*Hula Bowl Half-time show- Maui, HI.

*Super Bowl Half-time show-Tempe, AZ.

What Charity events do you participate in?

Each year we do several major Charity Event performances and Fundraisers. This is truly one of the aspects I am the most proud of!

     The first performance the Arizona Angels team did over 20 years ago was for the children at the Ronald McDonald House.  Since that day, we have danced at hundreds of benefits and shown our financially and emotional support for dozens of Charities all over the State. Here are just a few:

*Southern Arizona Autism Research Center-SAARC- raising $40,000!

*Phoenix Children’s Hospital- Emily Fashion Show- 10 years

*The AZ Boys Ranch *Muscular Dystrophy *American Heart Association
