Coach Matt Grosser

JV Mustangs Now 6-2

     Sometimes, especially during baseball season our
Freshmen and JV team reports and coverage gets lost in the
shuffle and our fans aren't kept as abreast of their progress
as they should be.
   Thanks to Coach Matt Grosser for passing along the JV
stats to date so that we can pass the info on to you.
    The JV Mustangs are presently 6-2. They have defeated
Beechwood 8-0 (Heil), Boone County 8-6 (Hertzenberg),
Highlands Twice 9-8 (Beane) and 9-6 (Anderson),
Ryle 9-6 (Beane), and Elder (FR) 4-3 (Cummins).
Their two losses are to Conner 12-7 (N. Bezold), and Scott 6-0 (Hertzenberg).
    The JVs maintain an impressive .346 batting average as a team, with Nick Bezold leading the team at .600 (6-10). Next are Jeremy Beckerich at .588 (10-17), Ben Weyman at .500 (9-18), Tony Woeste at .500 (12-24), Aaron Dennis at .429 (6-14), Zach Hertzenberg at .417 (5-12), and Justin Barth at .350 (7-20).
    Leading the team in doubles (3) are Nick Bezold, Justin Barth, and Tony Woeste.
    Curtis Ruberg has the team's only triple, while Jeremy Beckerich and Evan Harris have both belted a home run.
