Mustangs Derail Big Trains 9-0

    The varsity baseball team defeated Silver Grove 9-0 on Wednesday at Pendery Park. David Greis pitched a complete game shutout walking none and striking out 8 batters. Tony Woeste was 2 for 3 with a double, Nick Hamberg was three for three with two runs scored and two rbis, a double triple and stolen base. Matt Woeste finished 2 for 3 with a double and Travis Norton had a double while finishing 2 for 4 with two rbis.

    Thursday the team opens All A Play at Calvary Christian at 4:00 PM

Mustangs Pound Grant Co. 13-4

      In varsity baseball action the Mustangs blasted Grant County 13-4 in Dry Ridge. The Mustangs opened with a 5 run first inning. They played solid defense with only one error and connected on a solid offense with 5 doubles. Jake Heil got the win pitching 4 innings allowing 4 runs while Justin Barth pitched 3 scoreless innings of relief for coach Matt Grosser. Sophomore Travis Norton enjoyed a 2 for 4 game with a double and 4 rbis. Anthony Steffen was 2 for 5 with a double and two rbis and Nick Hamberg was 3 for 4.
 The JV team lost 11-1 to Campbell County.

     The varsity game Wednesday with Boone County is cancelled since we play St. Henry Thursday in a conference game. Teams can not play four days in  a row Monday thru Thursday.
