Mustangs Battle Hard Fall 20-13

The freshmen/sophomore junior varsity football team traveled to Sharp Middle School Thursday evening for a game with Pendleton County and still had a chance to win with 48 seconds remaining before the Wildcats took over on downs.
Quarterback Jesse Orth scored both Brossart touchdowns on quarterback sneaks. The second score came with just four minutes left drawing the Mustangs within a touchdown. The team proceeded to hold Pendleton County and get the ball back moving from their own 30 to the Pendleton 31 with time running out. The Mustangs passed four times but were unable to get back to the endzone.
Michael Whitford played well and had some huge plays on defense with a quarterback sack and a fourth down stop forcing a loss. Jake Carmack had a nice 21 yeard run and Jack Fessler enjoyed a solid game as well.
