Mustangs Third At Boots and Butts

The boy’s varsity soccer team made their annual pilgrimage to Hopkinsville, Kentucky this weekend to take on the Boots and Butts Classic field and for the first time in three years had to settle for something a bit below the Championship trophy.

In the toughest field ever the Mustangs beat Tates Creek 3-1, Madisonville-North Hopkins 2-1 and fell to Daviess County 3-1 after they broke open a close game in the second half. They bounced back though to beat Paducah St. Marys 5-0 to capture third place. David Braun (who had 5 of the Mustangs 11 goals) and Eric Enzweiler were selected to the all-tournament team.

The varsity boys soccer team fell to St. Henry Saturday in the finals of the All "A" Soccer Cup 11th Region Championship.
The game was decided with less than three minutes to go when St. Henry punched one in from right in front of the basket. The JV won 1-0 on a goal by Danny Schultz
