Lady 'Stangs Ambush Lady Indians

The Lady ‘Stangs Varsity soccer team opened the regular season with an exciting game in Latonia against the Holy Cross Lady Indians.

Brossart trailed 1-0 at the half but with 19 minutes remaining in the game senior Andrea Pitzer to an assist from Senior Emily Sanker and drilled the net for a 1-1 tie. Ten minutes later Sanker took an assist from freshman Sarah Klump and found the net for a 2-1 as the Lady ‘Stangs held on for the win.

The junior varsity girls soccer team, despite an overwhelming advantage in shots on goal, battled Holy Cross to a 0-0 tie.

Lady 'Stangs Battle States Top Teams IN SON Tournament; Finish 1-3

The Lady 'Stangs varsity played great soccer this weekend at the SON Tourney. Some of the best soccer that Brossart has ever played but had trouble scoring in three of the four matches.
They outplayed Oldham County, Manual, and Nelson County but came out on the losing end due to poor finishing and some great saves by the keepers. Nelson county was a heart breaker due to 4 of our 5 girls missing the goal on the penalty kicks. The lone win came after an hours rest against Louisville Male who had been resting for a couple of days.
The Lady Stangs prevailed 4-1. The LadyStangs are 2-3 with Simon Kenton on Sat the 29th then state contender NDA on Monday the 31st. All “A” begins Tuesday with either Cov. Latin or Ludlow.
