Mustangs Win Campbell Co. Championship

      The boys cross country team competed in the Campbell County Championship at AJ Jolly Park Tuesday evening. The varsity team edged Highlands by 5 points to claim the distinction as the top team in Campbell County. Campbell County finished 3rd, 9 points behind the Mustangs.
     Leading the team were Juniors Andy Wolfer—2nd overall, and Jack Foster—5th, Senior Adam Birkenhauer---6th, and Junior Barrett Kues—7th.
Juniors Daniel Powell and Matt Stover; along with Freshman Brain Clift, rounded out the varsity team.
    
In the open race the Mustangs scored perfect a 1 through 5 finish. St. Mary 8th grader Michael Caldwell won his first cross country race of his career. He was followed closely by Sophomores Robbie Martin—2nd and Brian Neltner—3rd, and Juniors Collin O’Bryan—4th and Kyle Neltner—5th.
Daniel Powell Is Back

Mustangs Fourth AT Grant Co.

       The boys team traveled to Crittenden, KY  to compete in the largest meet of the season at the 36th Annual Grant Co. Invitational.
      17 teams competed in the varsity race and the mustangs took 4th place. Leading the team were juniors Andy Wolfer (8th) and Jack Foster (11th), senior Adam Birkenhauer (16th), and juniors Barrett Kues (41st) and Matt Stover (82nd). Andy Wolfer was specifically recognized as one of the top runners in the awards ceremony following the meet.
     In the JV race junior Daniel Powell, returning from a rare pre season accident, had his best race of the season placing 11th and earning an award
