The specifics
The Game
One 7-9 inning game will run from 12:30-3:00 with home run derby to follow.
I need volunteers to pitch for each team and in the home run derby. Pitching will be done BP style and be thrown from behind an L-screen. Please let me know if you can help out in your email.
Home Run Derby
Home Run Derby will run as follows.
There will be 4 teams comprised of (2) players each. (Coaches please select the 2 players who will represent your team and let them know to be there and ready to go.) You may want to select the 2 players with the most home-runs on your team at the end of the season (if they are available). The Alumni will select their (2) Players at the field.
Round 1: Game A Freshman vs Alumni
Round 1: Game B JV vs Varsity
Consolation Game: Loser of Game A vs Loser of Game B
Championship Game: Winner of Game A vs Winner of Game B
Each player will get 10 swings per round. (There will be called strikes in case we have non-swingers.)
Teams will alternate turns. Player from Team A takes 10 swings. Player from Team B takes swings. A coin flip will determine who bats first.
Total of both players on the team determines the winner of the round.
In case of a tie, first tie breaker will be the team with the individual who had the most home runs.
Second tie breaker will be a coin flip. A representative of the Older Team will choose heads or tails.
Regards,
Michael
