All practices and games for all levels are mandatory.
Practice time is generally 3:30-5:30 (with occasional changes due to weather, field conflict, etc.).
Check the website regularly to ensure the most up to date information on practice and game times.
Players should come to every training session wearing their practice t-shirts.They should also have cleats, running shoes, shin guards, a ball, and additional outdoor clothing appropriate to the weather.
Balls will be provided for the season—Players are responsible for bringing them and keeping them pumped up!
Failure to bring the proper gear may result in player being sent home (to get the gear) which would be considered an unexcused absence, which would result in player sitting out the next game.
Tardiness will not be tolerated.Players are expected to be at practice, dressed in the proper gear ready to start at 3:30.
Players who are late will make up the time with extra fitness after practice.
Being more than 20 minutes late is the equivalent of an absence, whether excused or not.
Injured players are expected to attend all practices, even if they can’t participate.
Injured players who attend training sessions but do not practice will NOT be eligible to start in the next game.
Absences due to illness or family emergency:
If a player is sick and will not attend practice, she MUST contact her coach beforehand, either by phone or email.
Players who miss practice for reasons other than illness must make up any missed conditioning on their own time.
Players who miss practice for a legitimate reason will not play in first half of next game.
Unexcused absences:
An absence will be considered unexcused if the player has not made the absence known beforehand, or if the reason for missing is not deemed acceptable.(Too much homework, for example, is not an excuse for missing practice.)
First unexcused absence will result in player sitting out next game.
Second unexcused absence will result in player-parent-coach sit-down to assess whether player will continue on the team.
Please do not schedule appointments during normal practice times.
Players must be academically eligible to play in games.
Players who violate the school district’s code of conduct (particularly with respect to drug and alcohol use) will be suspended from games and practice until the district punishment has been determined.
The coaching staff expects to maintain a healthy relationship with all players and to that end will strive to foster a safe environment that promotes open communication. oPlayers who are frustrated, confused, or otherwise out of sorts are encouraged to approach the coach directly. oIn rare cases, when a player is not comfortable approaching her coach directly, she should utilize the captain(s) to provide feedback to the coach on her behalf.
