Pirates Name Victor Floyd  
Head Football Coach

                     Coach Victor Floyd shown coaching his team during the 2007 season.

According to The Herald Online, Chester (SC) football coach Victor Floyd has resigned to accept the head football coaching  job at Brunswick High. This past season Floyd lead the Chester Cyclones to a 12-3 record and the state championship game.

Former Coach Freeman Named Head Football Coach at Brooks Co. High School

 

                                       Maurice Freeman Former Head Football Coach

Former football coach Maurice Freeman has been named the new head football coach at Brooks County High School, where he won a state title in 1994. The move allows Freeman to be closer to his family and return to his home town.
 

Joining Freeman in Brooks County is former offensive line coach  Bryan Watson. Watson has served the past three years as offensive line coach and head boys track & field coach for the Pirates. Watson will serve as offensive coordinator for the Trojans.

Website Seeks New Webmaster 

The bhspiratefootball.com website is seeking a new webmaster. The website which has been a huge success over the past two seasons was created and maintained by former assistant coach Bryan Watson. Watson will be leaving at the end of the school term. "The kids love the website and I would like for it to continue." If you are interested please email me at bwatson@glynn.k2.ga.us. The website is easy to maintain and update. I will train you before I leave and share all the photos with you. I would love if a parent or booster would take over the website.

       Khalil Baker Signs w/ Albany State Univ.   
                                            
       

Khalil Baker will continue playing football next year as a member of the Albany St. Univ. Rams. Flanked by his mother and father and with his coaches and teammates looking on Baker signed with ASU. Khalil was a two way starter for the Pirates, playing both TE and LB. Baker also lined up in the backfield and contributed on special teams.
