To all the lacrosse fans that want to see more lacrosse -

Please call you local cable provider and ask for ESPN - U.  This is a channel dedicated solely to college sports and many of the college lacrosse games are broadcast on this channel.  The more pressure we put on Comcast to provide this channel the better our chances of Comcast providing it to their customers.

2/3/2007Battle to Beat Cancer Bottle Drive

 

To: All DCD & Birmingham Lacrosse Players

 

Subject: Fund Raiser Competition-Deadline May 12, 2007

 

The 3rd annual “Battle to Beat Cancer” game between DCD and Birmingham will be utilized as a fundraiser to help fight cancer.  The proceeds from the game will be donated to the Karmanos Cancer Institute.  As part of this year’s fundraiser, we will be having a competition between the teams on who can raise the most money through the collection of bottles and cans.  The team that raises the most money will be awarded the Kicking Cancer’s Can Trophy and have the right to display this trophy for a year.

 

What do you do?  From now until a few days prior to the game on Saturday, May 12th take your cans and bottles to a local Kroger store, turn in the cans, keep the receipt, and give it to your team captain.  The captains will turn in the receipts weekly and an ongoing total will be published for each team.  Please use the flyers provided and pass them out to neighbors or any businesses that would be willing to give you their cans and/or bottles.
