New stadium/ lower level football scores
I read about the new stadium plan in the Boardman News a few weeks ago...any chance we can get some info on here about the project and maybe how to donate to it?
Also, would we be able to get some results on the JV, Frosh as well as middle school squads this year?  Thanks.

BEAT LAKE
OK SPARTANS, NOT A BAD START, BUT WE ALL KNOW YOU CAN DO BETTER! DEFENSE HAS BEEN OUTSTANDING ESPECIALLY IN THE MOONEY GAME! WASN'T IMPRESSED WITH MOONEY AT ALL! LOTS OF HYPE FROM THE YOUNGSTOWN PRESS, BUT WHAT'S NEW ABOUT THAT! BACK TO POSITIVE THINKING ABOUT OUR SPARTANS. JUST GO OUT TONIGHT AND PUT A FANTASTIC OFFENSE AND DEFENSE ON THE FIELD. WORK TOGETHER. GO SPARTANS BEAT LAKE!!!!!!

Boardman is a good team
I know moral victories don't count in the win and loss column, but I really feel good about this year's team after watching the Mooney game. That game was ours for taking but in the end it wasn't meant to be. The kids will learn from that experience and build upon that. I was very impressed how well the defense played especially against the run. If they play like that every week they'll have nothing to worry about. Our offense needs a little tweaking and I know Boyd is a much better QB than he showed last week. Maybe it was first game jitters who knows. Also with the loss of Walls someone else will have to step it up. If we can move the ball on the ground efficiently then that will open up our passing game and Boardman has very good wideouts that can be game breakers. As I understand it, Jones didn't play against Mooney due to an injury. Hopefully he'll be back and ready to go. As always: GO SPARTANS!!!!!

Boardman vs. Mooney

You know I've been on JJ Huddle's forums and most of the Mooney fans really aren't giving Boardman a chance to win. Apparently they have almost everyone back, they're big and strong and fast. They're saying that Mooney ran all over Glenville and ST Ed's in both scrimmages and if they can do that to those teams imagine what they'll do to us. Well I was at the Howland scrimmage and thought our defense played really well, especially the run defense. I hope our D plays that way against Mooney. I also hope that our offense can get into a rythym against them because it looked out of sync at times at the scrimmage but I'm sure the coaches will be able to correct this. If Boyd gets the time to throw he'll be able to pick apart Mooney's secondary. He's got some really good receivers to throw to.I really like Ken Jones. He can catch anything thrown his way. Hammond made a really nice one handed catch and also had long TD reception that was set up by some really good blocking.  Anyway I hope the kids use all the negative comments by Mooney fans and use it as a motivator, not that a Boardman-Mooney game needs further motivation. GO SPARTANS!!!!
