Douglas M. Allen, 45, of Brockton, died unexpectedly Jan. 2, 2009. Raised in Brockton, Doug graduated Brockton High School in 1981. He was co-owner of Easton Insurance Agency, Inc. on Route 138 in Easton with his mother and was a former adjustor with Aetna Insurance. Doug was a musician, playing guitar and bass locally, was a longtime friend, mentor and coach with Brockton Youth Hockey, enjoyed playing golf and was a member of Brockton Country Club, coached soccer, enjoyed fishing and going to the beach and was a member of the Board of Directors of Metro South Insurance Agents. Douglas was a dear son of Ronald and Dolores Allen of Brockton, beloved husband of Michelle, loving father of Ashley, Casey and Justin, brother of Bill Allen of Quincy, son-in-law of Mary and James Morrill of Florida and brother-in-law of James and Brian Morrill. He will be deeply missed.
