
Cobb netted the OT winner Saturday
The Wolverines flew into New Hampshire, loaded a bus for an hour, and finally got to the hotel by 2am for an 8:15am game vs the
Philadelphia Junior Flyers this morning. The game was an evenly matched, back-and-forth contest with Philly taking the 1-0 lead after the first half on a powerplay goal. Charleston responded 5 minutes into the second half with an even strength goal from
Connor Every-Andrews with the assist going to
Foster Boerman. The remainder of the game was a constant battle, with regulation ending in a 1-1 tie. In overtime, it took
Johnny Cobb just 15 seconds to score the winner on a wrap around with the assist going to Every-Andrews.
John Layton got the win in goal, stopping 22 of the 23 shots he faced.
Marten Jackson and
Casey Barnes logged a lot of minutes on the blueline and wee both solid all game. The Wolverines will get some much need rest before taking on the
Washington Junior Capitals Sunday morning @ 7:30 am
