Thank you for sharing

I attended your presentation at Bucknell University.  Thanks for sharing your story as you do. When you said yesterday "For some questions there are no answers, but in love there is peace", you just put into words what I've always felt.  I wholeheartedly agree with you too, that we need to focus on what is not lost and "Never trade tomorrow's dreams for yesterday's nightmares."  I posted that on my facebook status yesterday.

Your strategies are ones that I’ve always applied to my own life and I know they work.  So even though I haven't read your book yet, I'd recommend it to anyone.  As a matter of fact, I just recommended it today to a friend of mine.

Thanks again for sharing your time with us yesterday,

Bev

Thank you!
Chris,
Thank you so very much for treking to rural Carroll County to share your inspirational message with the staff at Human Services Programs (HSP).  You really helped to make our retreat a meaningful and memorable event.  I have had nothing but positive feedback!  I think every one of our staff was able to relate and take away their own personal "nugget".

Inspirational and Enjoyable
Chris, I've attended your Conquering Adversity seminar through our local SHRM chapter and participated in your Pirates of St. Croix workshop at the 2009 NYS SHRM conference.  Really enjoyed both sessions and encourage others to attend.  Everyone will learn something that they can put to use immediately.  Many thanks and best of luck.

Thank You For The Great Workshop!!!!

Chris,

Thank you for the amazing Pirates of St. Croix workshop you presented at the 2009 SHRM NYS Conference!!!!  Not only was it a great picture into how teams function, it was done with flair, and when things are entertaining, people are far more engaged and retain the message.  Great combination of learning and fun!

Hope to see you there next year!

Thank you for the inspiration
Chris,

After listening to you speak at the CHRA Spring Conference, I have learned to make each day count, whether it is at home or work; I do not take anything for granted! Thank you for making what seems to be the impossible, possible. There will be challenges along the way, but I know they will pass and it is a true test of my character.

Thank you for being an inspiration!

Message for a Lifetime
Chris:

Thank you for your uplifting and timely message.  Shortly after your presentation a close family member was diagnosed with cancer.  Everyone is devastated at the news.  But after hearing what you went through I am sure we'll get through it.  I was one of the fortunate ones who was able to purchase your book that day.  I will keep your message with me for the rest of my life.

Excellent! Thanks for your message!

Hello!
Attended the CHRA conference last week where you were the keynote speaker.  Your presentation on "Conquering Adversity" was excellent.  Your personal message and key strategies tied in with your personal story, were very uplifting and inspirational.  I have a similar philosophy regarding communication, but regardless, I still had a couple of "nuggets" to take away. Thanks for the great reminders and in remembering to live for today and thanks again for your message.

Good luck with your personal and professional endeavors!

Sincerely,
Gaby Fishpaw

Inside the Heart of an Adversity Champion
Chris
Your honest and open account of your face to face ordeal with the worst kind of adversity left me in a good place.  You said to Pause and I have.  You said to Reflect and I have been.  I listened to your story and just as you suggested, I am trying hear my own.  You are the epitome of purpose and passion and a genuine inspiration to all whom you come in contact with.

Take care of yourself...and continue to move people...

Inspiritation to us all
Chris was such an inspiritation to me.  My heart went out to him as I listened to his story.  To know that he was able to reach inside and grow and heal was inspiring to me.  My granddaughter at age two was diagnosed with  embrional rhabdomyosarcoma which is a very rare cancer.  Long story short, she is now approaching her 5th birthday and is doing fine.  However, the journey has been long and arduous and every time she gets sick with anything, the panic the ensues is horrific!  I wish my  son could have heard Chris speak.  I must admit, I see the hero in my son very much so now.  I didn't have a name for it previously, but I do now.
