TITANS EXCITED ABOUT NEW ADDITIONS TO LEAGUE

November 1, 2009 - The Colorado Football Conference concluded the Board of Directors meeting Sunday afternoon with a unanimous vote of three new members to the league. The new teams will compete in the 2010 season. The new teams will include the Denver Stallions, The Colorado Springs Cyclones, and the Pueblo Steel. With the three new additions, the CFC has reached 12 strong teams that will compete in two equal divisions. The new division alignments will be available after the next Board of Directors meeting.

The CFC has created a solid southern Colorado presence. Four teams now occupy the southern portion of Colorado. New rivalries will definitely begin to form as three teams will be involved in Colorado's second largest market. The Colorado Havoc have announced their plans to move from Florence, Colorado into the Colorado Springs area. The Colorado Springs Flames, Colorado Springs Cyclones, Colorado Havoc, and Pueblo Steel will compete for southern Colorado dominance.

The league also concluded with new officers being elected for the 2010 season. Lou Flores was announced the years new Commissioner. Rashad Ray was announced the Assistant Commissioner. Gloria Medeiros was elected Secretary/Treasurer. Congratulations to all the League Officers.

The Denver Titans are hard at work preparing for the 2010 season. Several announcements are forthcoming in the next few weeks. The Titans would like to thank all of our sponsors and fans for their continued support.

CADETS PROTECT THE REDZONE IN WIN OVER TITANS

September 26, 2009 - The Denver Titans represented the Colorado Football Conference in an exhibition game against the Air Force Academy JV team on Friday night September 25, 2009. The Denver Titans were honored to play such a prestigous institution against very skilled competition. The game was played at the Air Force Academy inside of the beautiful Falcon Field.

The Falcons struck first taking a 7-0 lead in the first quarter. The Titans came right back to tie the score at 7-7. That would be the Titans final time they would get into the end zone. The Titans offense was very efficient in gaining over 400 yards in offense, but the young cadets were stingy in the red zone. The Titans reached the red zone 6 times, but were held to just one touchdown. The final score was 31-7.

"I thought offensively we did a great job moving the ball against a very talented team. We made far to many mistakes inside of the red zone to win the ball game. We were honored to play in the game, and equally impressed at the level of talent we faced. We have a lot to learn from going forward," stated Head Coach Damon Ware. This was the Titans final game of the 2009 campaign.

TITANS BURNED BY THE FLAMES IN CHAMPIONSHIP GAME

           vs.

August 23, 2009 - The Denver Titans (8-2) lost to the Colorado Springs Flames (10-0) for the right to be called the Colorado Football Conference Champions of 2009. These two teams were clearly the best two teams in the league during the regular season. The game matched two of the flagship organizations in the CFC who also have a majority of the championships in the leagues 21 year history.

The Titans offense took some time to get into the flow of the game against the leagues best defense. The Titans defense showed why they were the leagues second best defense. The Titans went into halftime down 38-14. The Titans halftime speech must have worked because the Titans scored on the first play of the second half, forced the Flames to punt, and scored on a punt return. The third quarter was one of the most exciting quarters of football ever played. The Flames went on to win the game by a score of 52-30.

The Denver Titans would like to say thank you to all of our fans that supported us throughout the 2009 season. We would also like to say thank you to our coaches and players who put it all on the line this year. We would also like to say thank you to the Colorado Springs Flames for a great championship contest. Information on the 2010 season will be coming soon.

August 16, 2009 - The Denver Titans hosted the Foothills Division Championship game on Saturday, August 15, 2009. The Titans proved worthy of a spot in the championship game. The Titans (8-1) beat the Mile High Grizzlies (7-3) by a score of 24-7. The Grizzlies were the 2008 CFC champions who went undefeated on their way to their first championship. The Grizzlies knocked the Titans out of the playoffs last year by a score of 21-20.

The Titans defense was stellar all evening long. The Titans defense gave up no offensive touchdowns on the night. The Grizzlies lone touchdown came on a miscue by the Titans punter who fumbled the ball in the end-zone which was recovered by the Grizzlies. The Titans went into the lockeroom at halftime leading 7-0. The crowd saw a great game by two of the elite teams in the Colorado Football Conference.

TITANS LOOK TO CONTINUE DOMINANCE IN THE PROFESSIONAL LEAGUES

The Denver Titans will participate in games in the American Professional Football League (APFL). The APFL is a professional indoor football league based in the midwestern United States that began play in 2003. The APFL utilizes the most fan freindly rules of all of the professional indoor football leagues.

The Denver Titans will play games against two teams in the APFL. The league's flagship team is the Kansas Koyotes based out of Topeka, Kansas and play in Landon Arena. The Koyotes have captured the first six league championships. The Koyotes weren't beaten in the league's first three seasons. The Iowa Blackhawks have participated in the APFL since 2004. The Blackhawks play their home games at the Mid-America Center in Council Bluffs Iowa.

The Denver Titans look forward to two great indoor football games. The Titans boast one of the best indoor football coaching staffs in the country. We look forward to our loyal fans traveling with us to these hostile arenas as we look to continue being one of the most successful franchises in the United States.
