U-11 & U13 ARE MOVING ON Bob Rhein - 5/21/2009 Both the KNIGHTS youth lacrosse teams will be moving onto the championship round of play after victories on the field this evening. The U-11 KNIGHTS came back from a several goal deficit to defeat the Warriors of Susquehannock by a score of 8-7. This was the third time the two teams matched up with the series score tied at one each entering the game. The U-13 KNIGHTS avenged an earlier tie to a strong South Eastern Rams team by the score of 11-7. The KNIGHTS only blemish on their record came at the hands of the Rams in early May as the game ended in a tie down in Fawn Grove. The KNIGHTS dominated the ground balls and maintained possession of the ball for a significant portion of the game. Six different KNIGHTS scored during the evening. Goaltender Lucas Barshinger had over a dozen saves (both with his stick and every part of his body), playing his best game this season. Defensemen David Livelsberger executed his game assignment by shutting down the Rams top offensive threat and one of the league leading scorers Albert Greaver. Both the KNIGHTS teams advance to the finals on May 21st. The U-11's will play Central York at Shrewsbury Elementary School at 6:30 pm. The U-13 KNIGHTS will play Northern York at Jim Macks field at 5:30 pm. Good luck to both teams!
