Newton Braves Flag Football

2009

July 17, 2009

Dear Parents,

Welcome to Newton Braves Flag Football!  I am looking forward to an exciting season, as well as the opportunity to meet the many new and returning football families.  The objective of the Braves flag football program is to introduce young children to the great sport of football, while teaching good sportsmanship, structured football fundamentals, leadership, discipline and team work. The first practice will be Monday August 10 from 6pm-7:30pm at Memorial Park in Newton. Call me if you need directions.

The following are required for all practices and games:

● Mouth piece

● Athletic protector

● Cleats

● Desire to have fun!

Parents are welcome and urged to attend all practices and games.  As with any youth sport, there are many volunteer opportunities:

● Coaches

● Team Moms

● Referees for games

● Score keepers for home games

● Chain gang (first down markers)

Please feel free to contact me or any of the coaches with any questions, comments or concerns you may have.
