USA HOCKEY PLAYER CODE OF CONDUCT

 

For participation in USA Hockey for the 2009-2010 season:

 

  1. Play for Fun
  2. Work hard to improve your skills
  3. Be a team player.  Get along with your teammates
  4. Learn teamwork, sportsmanship and discipline
  5. Be on time for practices and games
  6. Learn the rules and play by them.  Always be a good sport
  7. Respect your coach, your team mates, your opponents and the officials.
  8. Respect the property of other, including team mates, opponents, rinks etc. 
  9. No swearing or abusive language on the bench, in the rink, or at any team function.
  10. NO lashing out at any official no matter what the call is.  The coaching staff will handle all matters pertaining to officiating.
  11. Anyone who receives a penalty will skate directly to the penalty box.
  12. Fighting will not be tolerated.  Fighting will result in an appearance before a ‘Discipline Committee’ or BOD
  13. There will be no drinking, smoking, chewing of tobacco, or use of illegal substance at any team function.
  14. I will conduct myself befitting manner at all facilities (ice rink, hotel, restaurant, etc.) during all team functions.
  15. Any player or team official who cannot abide by these rules or violates them will be subject to further disciplinary action.

 

I have read and understand the above FYHA and USA code of conducts, and agree to abide by its guidelines at all team and league activities.  I understand if I do not follow the FYHA and USA Hockey Codes of Conduct, I may be asked to leave the league activity (such as a game or practice) or I may be asked to withdraw my child from the league.
