Mite & Squirt Transition Players Policy

Transition Players Definition: A Player who WANTS to be on an competitive team but is not ready  or does not have the proper skills to play games at the level  trying out for but the coach believes he/she may have the potential to do so; this allows the child to be better prepared for next year by practicing with the travel team.

*      Mite Cost- $425

*      Squirt Cost- $475

INCLUDES:

Attend  Travel Practice (once per week)

a.       It will be on the day of the week  that does not conflict with the house practice

b.      This player will be expected to attend the scheduled once a week practice as any other FYHA Travel Participant.

Attend House Practice/Game (once per week)

a.       House League requires that you attend the week day practice regularly as any other FYHA House Participant.

Attend House Game (once per weekend)

a.       House League requires that you attend the weekend game regularly as any other FYHA House Participant.

  

Player may or may not be listed on the Travel Team USA Hockey Roster, this will be up to the Head Coach.

 

US Hockey allows up to 20 kids to be on a roster.  How many transitional players will be decided solely by the coach of that travel team up to the 20 max per USA Hockey Rules.

 

The goal of the child and coach should be to get to the skill level required to have a better chance of being on the team next year.  By training at the level of the travel program your child will benefit to have a better chance of making the team the next year and by allowing the child to play in the House games and practices will keep the child’s playing interest there.

Peewee & Bantam Transition Players Policy

Transition Players Definition: A Player who WANTS to be on an competitive team but is not ready  or does not have the proper skills to play games at the level  trying out for but the coach believes he/she may have the potential to do so; this allows the child to be better prepared for next year by practicing with the travel team.

*      Peewee Cost-$525

*      Bantam Cost- $575

INCLUDES:

Attend  Travel Practice (twice per week)

a.       It will be on the day of the week  that does not conflict with the house practice

b.      This player will be on the roster with the team and expected to attend the scheduled once a week practice as any other FYHA Travel Participant.

Attend House Game (once per weekend)

c.       House League requires that you attend the weekend game regularly as any other FYHA House Participant.

Player may be invited to Attend some ‘At Large’ Games and/or non Sonoran League Tournaments.

d.      This will be decided on a per basis situation by the Head Coach.
