Raiders

First off Bears, tremendous game you guys played with a lot of heart.  Best game I have seen or been a part of for a mighty long time on any level.

Secondly Raiders, from the players to my coaching staff to the parents Thank You.  You guys have been very supportive of everything we have been trying to do and that makes for a very enjoyable first two weeks of the season.  We had an awesome win yesterday against a good team that is very well coached.

can't wait to get the season goin!!!
I would be willing to help with any coordinating the awards ceremony this year.  While the kids were excited and thrilled to be on stage last year, I was disappointed at the parents that decided to leave after their children got their awards.  Everyone should stay to support the players nottreating it as a task they want to get away from.  Please let me know what I could do to help.

voting poll on home page
Is their anyway to put on the home page reasons why someone was dissatisfied with the league this year? I think it is a shame someone could just put dissatisfied and not have a reason of why they are not happy with the league. I believe the league was ran very well this year and really do not have any complaints. But if i did, I would make sure someone knew why I was unhappy so next year could run better for them.

SPORTSMANSHIP

I just wanted to leave a comment about parents.  We all need to remind ourselves of why we put out children in sports.  I put my son in football because he wanted to play a group team sport.  I  stand for nothing less than repect for others, wether that be the coaches, parents, or the other players.  We had a great season  and my son learned a lot, he loves the sport, and I hope will continue to play.  He is upset however that we went to the awards on Sunday and his team was taunted by another group of children that were calling them loosers.  I felt that the coaches, as well as parents should talk to their child about repect for others as well as SPORTSMANSHIP  one of the most important values that a child should be taught.  My son is not sure now if he will continue to play.  It took me some time to assure him that just becuase he lost his championship game didn't mean that he was a looser, and the sad thing is that the day of didn't even phase him, it was later when a group of team members from the opposing team taunted him.  I am just very upset with the way that this team handled themselves throughout the season and then to top it off have their children do that at an awards ceremony was over the top.  But the sadest thing is that they learned this behavior somewhere.  Maybe it was the parents on the sidelines?

Good Game
If anyone would like to come and watch a great game please come and watch the Hoosiers and the Boilermakers play again. The first meeting of the two ended in a tie, second 14 to 13 OT win by he Hoosiers.

These kids on both teams are great players and have learned the game very well. It should make for a very, very good Championship game.

Practice Change Rules???
Are there any rules regarding changing the practice schedule after the season is underway? If not, there should be. Once given a schedule for the season people sign their kids up for and pay for other activities and it is not fair to change the practice schedule after the season is well underway.

Let's be sure to keep the kids health at the forefront at all coaches minds and ensure kids have adequate chances for hydration during games.  Last Saturday's games were an appalling demonstration of lack of respect for players with kids throwing up and passing out b/c coaches didn't allow water breaks or helmets off in-between plays.  Winning isn't everything.
