I received an email Thru Tammy Soder who is a frind of Lee Claypool.  She is the sister of Columbus Police Lt. Christopher Claypool who was killed in the line of duty April 29, 2001.The link below will take you to a petition that I would ask you to sign. The Arizona Sun Newspaper had a photo in their paper last year of Officer Erik Hite at the scene where he was shot. Officer Hite subsequently died from that injury. Recently a punk rock bank by the name of "Awful Truth" used this photograph depicting Officer Hite lying injured on the ground being administered aid by other officers as the cover for their new album. They have named the album "Kill A Cop For God". This is petition to aid the Arizona Sun in its endeavors to block the unauthorized use of their photo by this band. 

The thought that this band would use the photo in such a way sickens me and the thought that anyone would actually purchase such a disgraceful album is beyond my comprehension.

If you would please lend your support to this petition I would personally appreciate it very much. At the very least it will show the support for this officer's family who will continue through life without him in their midst.

 

I would also encourage you to ask those within your circle of influence to rally around this cause, it only takes a moment, but the support will be everlasting.
