Gladiators Send 8 Players to NEFL All-Star Game

The Green Bay Gladiators finished the NEFL season in a tie for second place in the Eastern Conference, and were rewarded Thursday when eight players were selected to the annual All-Star game. Headlining the nominated players is perennial all-star Sean Tackett, an offensive tackle. Tackett has been selected in each of the previous 4 years, and will again be making the trip this season to Eau Claire. Rookies Jonathan Smith, safety, and middle linebacker Will Dicke also made the team. Smith led the NEFL with punt return average and two touchdowns as the league’s most dangerous returner. Dicke led the Eastern Conference in tackles with 61 registered this season. Also making the all-star team were C Marcos Alfaro, DT Jason O’Hearn, WR A.B. Cassell, WR Marcus Evans, and DE Juan Heredia. The NEFL All-Star game will be on August 9th at 4:00pm in Eau Claire, WI.
