Gladiators Shine in All-Star Loss, 40-20
The Green Bay Gladiators sent 8 players to the All-Star game, and each represented the organization will a fire that only a Gladiator can possess. Linebacker Will Dicke earned defensive MVP honors leading the East in tackles and chalking up an interception that set up a score. Wide receiver Marcus Evans had a touchdown reception while racking up over 50 yards on the night. Wide receiver A.B. Cassell caught a two-point conversion in the first half. Safety Jonathan Smith was injured, and the team awaits results of an MRI to see how serious of an injury it is.
At the awards banquet, offensive lineman Sean Tackett was present with the league's most prestigious award for lineman; the 2008 Offensive Lineman of the Year Award. Green Bay put the exclamation point on the season during All-Star weekend, and will be the team to watch in 2009.
