News and Notes (As of 9/24/09)
And we're down to three, The Clippers remain as the sole undefeated team sweeping their way to the finals. The winner of the #1 Seed Warriors hosting the #3 Seed Pitbulls will have an uphill battle in knocking off the Clippers in two games. Games are scheduled for mid afternoon at Grassfield High School in Chesapeake. Lake Taylor, the backup field, is currently unavailable due to minor flooding issues(check message boards for more information).
Congratulations and thanks goes out to the Islanders, Senators, and Padres who's season was ended this past Sunday. Islanders and Padres both lost in early action but put up a great battle against the Pitbulls and Senators respectively. The Senators advanced to face the Pitbulls and battled to a 0-0 tie through 9. Ultimately the Pitbulls won in the bottom of the 10th, but a tough and impressive exit for the Senators. Padres again were the highest remaining single A team remaining in the playoffs and had a tough road to get there. Good luck to you guys and see you on the field next year.
Congratulations goes to Mike Zahm, league leader in RBI and batting average. Congratulations goes to Wayne Renfrow, league leader in home runs. Congratulations to Bill Rouse on league leader in wins. Congratulations also goes out to Jon Mappin, league leader in ERA, strikeouts and had an undefeated season.
Congratulations goes out to the Virginia Beach Snipers. Not only did they get together an All Star lineup of the HRNABA to go to Atlantic City, but they won the entire tournament. Will Somerindyke pitched 17 innings in 3 days. Dan Herbert, Jimmy Miles along with others led the offense in tapping out multiple victims and capitalizing on clutch opportunities in the championship game. The team only allowed 9 runs in 4 games. Thank you Jose Wood and Will Somerindyke for putting together such a talented team and representing the league so well. Click For More Information....

Scheduling
Scheduling is rather difficult at this stage of the season due to field availability. But that being said, we do have competent leadership arranging for all games to be played in a timely fashion. Since we are into the playoffs, teams with the higher seed will be home team for remaining schedule. So if #2 plays #1, #1 will be home team due to higher seed.
Any other queries regarding league scheduling, player, team, or administrative issues contact Brian Conley via email or Sandon Rogers via email.
