Titans Shut-Out the White Sox

The Titans posted their 8th win of the season in a 13-0 victory over the White Sox.  Three Titans pitchers combined for the shut-out.  John Berger allowed only two hits in 5 & 1/3 brilliant innings of pitching to pick up his third win.  The Titans offense was outstanding pounding out 17 hits with only one hit going for extra bases.  Leading the charge offensively was:

Dane "Dancing Bear" Rumler:  3-for-4, 2 runs, RBI
Brian "Zippy" Frederickson:  2-for-3, BB, 2 runs, RBI
Wes "Woody" Hayden:  2-for-3, 2 runs, double, 4 RBI's
Rob "MVP" Hargis:  3-for-4, 1 run, RBI
Allen "Sanjaya" Tunstall:  3-for-4, 1 run, RBI
Ken "Skip" Menser:  2-for-2, BB, RBI
John "Doc" Lucia:  1-for-2, BB, 1 run, 2 RBI's

Next up for the Titans will be the Cubs at beautiful Bishop Chatard field.  Game time is 12:30 PM, August 9th.  The Titans lost a heart-breaker to the Cubs earlier in the season, and they seek to get a split this Sunday.  Will Sanjaya continue his one game hot streak at the plate?  Will Ship ever hit a curve ball again?  Will Mr. Lynch dent a car in the parking lot?  Will Daner get picked off again?  The answers to all of these questions and more will soon be revealed.  See you at the yard!
