04/25/09 - Wendy's Hosted Children's Bureau Fundraiser
TribuNation News - 4/25/2009
The bible instructs us to take care of widows and orphans. Today the Warriors took care of the orphans.
It should have been obvious that the day was going to be a good one when the team chaplain showed up to help convince Wendy patrons and passers by to let the team do the "dirty work" of washing their cars. Pastor Hosea Beverly did more than just raise his hands to God. He raised a car wash sign.
And so the team added its own beautiful footnote to a beautiful day. On April 25th, 2009, the Warriors raised $178 on behalf of the Children's Bureau of Indianapolis.
The Warrior organization would like to thank all who helped to make this a successful event. They would especially like to thank Wendy's at 86th and Michigan for allowing them to be a "team for the people".
The Warriors who participated in this event were:
  • Jeff Adams (and beautiful daughter A'Mari)
  • Hosea Beverly (Team Chaplain)
  • Teddy Dunbar
  • Cameron Easton (Sign Maker)
  • Jo Easton (Admin)
  • Greg Edwards
  • Chuck Glover
  • Damon Gray
  • James (J.J.) Jones
  • Mustafah Muhammad (Recruiter \ Coach)
  • John Starlin (Owner)
  • Randy (Redd) Tubbs
