WOLVERINES BREAK DROUGHT
The K&A Wolverines ended a miserable 12 game losing streak with a hard fought 3-2 shootout win over second place Dryden Icedogs, Sunday. Wolverine goaltender, Jean-Roch Thibert was outstanding, stopping 44 of 46 shots for his first victory. K&A's #48 , Alex Porrier, scored twice, including the shootout winner to lead the charge. Drew Childs added a single to open the Wolverines' scoring.
Dryden's Curtis Barker suffered he loss in net for the Icedogs.
K&A now hits the road for three games next weekend with stops in Fort Frances, Sioux Lookout and Dryden.
