June 19, 2009 - Mississauga

In Mississauga, the Twins snapped a seven-game losing streak as the downed the Kitchener Panthers 7-3. Luis Castillo pitched six strong innings for the win for the Twins, who had lost nine of 10 games but improved to 6-11 with the victory. Castillo allowed two runs on six hits with eight strikeouts and two walks. Shane Cole finished up, picking up the save. Cole went three innings and allowed one run on two hits with four strikeouts and one walk. Henry Duke hit a two-run homer to pace the Twins eight hit attack, while George Agyapong-Mensah added a solo homer for the winners. Matt Taube had a solo homer and Ben Kangas had three hits for the Panthers (8-9), while starter Brandon Farquhar took the loss. Farquhar went 5 1/3 innings, allowing five runs on six hits with five strikeouts and five walks.


June 21, 2009 - Kitchener

In Kitchener, the Guelph Royals scored seven runs in the fifth inning to rally past the Kitchener Panthers 12-8. Sean Reilly had three hits, scored three runs and drove in three more for the Royals, who improved to 12-8 as the IBL schedule hit exactly the half-way mark. Frankie Hare also drove in three runs for the Royals and scored twice, while Jeremy Ware and Geoff McCallum both had three hits and three RBI for the winners. Justin Phillips started and picked up the win, going five innings. He allowed five runs on 11 hits while striking out six and walking four. Wes Koch started and took the loss for the Panthers, allowing 10 runs on 12 hits with three strikeouts in 4 1/3 innings. Matt Taube had four hits, scored twice and drove in two more for the Panthers while Jeff Pietraszko had four hits and Mike Andrulis added three hits and scored twice for Kitchener.
