June 27, 2009 - Oshawa
Nick Purdy hit a pair of walk-off singles to win both ends of a doubleheader as the Oshawa Dodgers swept the Kitchener Panthers to highlight a four-game schedule Saturday in the Intercounty Baseball League.
Purdy won Game 1 with a run-scoring single in the bottom of the 10th inning, lifting the Dodgers to a 2-1 win, and then delivered another RBI single in the bottom of the seventh inning to score the winning run in the Dodgers 4-3 win in the second game.
In the opener, Brandyn Agnew allowed just four hits and one run over nine innings, striking out five and walking one, before Keith Grills pitched a hitless 10th to pick up the win, striking out one. Keith Fillier had three hits, including a lead-off triple in the 10th, and scored the winning run, and Jordan Castaldo had two hits.

In Game 2 Kitchener took an early 3-0 lead but the Dodgers battled back, setting the stage for another walk-off hit by Purdy, this time in the bottom of the seventh inning.
