On Saturday the Komets hosted the Chill U-19 team.  Anna starting the scoring but the Chill answered back with a power play goal in the first.  In the second Laurie with help from Amanda and Kristin scored a power play goal of their own.  But two minutes later the Chill answered back again.  Outstanding goal tending in the third by the Chill and some untimely penalties on the Komets lead to the Chill scoring two unanswered goals (one an empty netter) giving the Komet girls their second loss of the season.

On Sunday both the Komets and Winnetka teams were undefeated in the Girls Central Hockey League.  Winnetka took a quick lead just 14 seconds into the game.  But Sara scored an unassisted goal midway through the first to tie it up.  Kristin tipped in a slap shot from the point by Sara with a minute to go in the first giving the Komets a 2-1 lead after one.  In the second period during a penalty kill, Kendra  fed a steal to Laura on the point and Laura fired it past the Winnetka goalie.  This gave the Komets a 3 - 1 lead going into the third.  Winnetka started the scoring in the third, but  Komet Jodi  would not be denied.  Winnetka would not give up and scored once more with just three minutes to go in the game.  The Komets hung on to win the game 4 - 3.
