The Camdenton Lady Lakers soccer program began in the spring of 1998 under the direction of Coach J.D. Hunter and Assistant Coach Lisa Smarr. After 8 complete soccer seasons, the Lady Lakers are 115-64-18 with 476 goals scored and 229 given up. Since the program started, Camdenton has graduated 43 senior players -- 19 of those played at least one year of college soccer and currently, Kat Minx (2002) and Jennifer Sulze (2005) are still playing soccer at the college level. Three of the Camdenton soccer graduates are currently coaching high school soccer. Eight seasons later, Coach J.D. Hunter is still running the Lady Laker squad with assistants Sally LaVigne and Rick Calbert also on board.
Accomplishments: Won the Lebanon Tournament 6 times in 8 seasons; Won the Moberly Tournament 4 times in 8 seasons; scored 121 team goals in 2002 which is the second most goals ever scored by a girls team in a single season.
