LHP Avram Doomchin a perennial All Star with 04' & 05' NYCMBL League Champions College Point Clippers has decided to join the Flavor rotation for the 09' Season after a meeting of the minds with Coach Galan. Doomchin citing a desire to have fun just playing baseball again along with the chance to get back to Championship Series and not have to deal with the headaches of managing a team has signed on with the back to back Bx/Mh Division Champs Latin Flavor. Avram already familiar with many of the Flavor players said "with the reputation of professionalism, organization and family atmosphere that these guys exude I think it's going to be alot of fun playing with the Flavor...I just want to have fun and help in any way possible, whether it be with my arm, glove, or bat".

Adding a Lefty to the predominately right handed rotation is something the Flavor might have needed but didn't have during the playoffs of 08'. Coach Galan says "Adding a LHP like Avram who can either start or close will be huge for us in 09'. He is a smart ballplayer, who knows the game well whether he's on the field or on the mound or at the plate...adding a lefty pitcher to give hitters a different look and keep them off balance is a definite asset to the team".

Avram brings with him to the flavor from the 08' season a .243 ERA in 7 games pitched. Of the 7 games, he started 4 of them amassing a record of 3-3 in 31.2 innings pitched. All of his wins were complete games. He gave up 34 hits, and 21 runs (of which only 11 were earned) while striking out 34. He also hit .286 and drove in a team high 16 RBI during the Clippers shortened season.

Warning: Latin Flavor rotation already a formidable bunch just got better. Hitters beware.
