Mission:

 

The mission and overarching goal of the Latin Flavor Baseball organization is to be recognized nationally as the premiere wood bat amateur baseball organization in the New York Metropolitan area. To facilitate this, Latin Flavor Baseball provides players, 18 years of age and up, with a unique opportunity to continue playing the game they have grown to love.  Latin Flavor Baseball is dedicated to being an organization that gives its players the opportunity to showcase their skills on and off the field to a local and national audience.  This exposure provides a platform for visibility which otherwise may not have been afforded to them due to various financial circumstances, educational handicaps or socio-economical status.  Latin Flavor Baseball is an organization that prides itself on playing the game the way it’s supposed to be played, with passion, respect and class.  With this value in mind, Latin Flavor provides an environment which assists players to develop into better individuals in life by providing valuable lessons through teamwork, camaraderie and hard work that will better shape and represent the individual as well as the Hispanic community, in many cases.  It is an organization which consistently aims to be a platform for players that are also seeking the elusive dream of signing a professional baseball contract as well as for players that just love the game.


Latin Flavor baseball started out as being a program designed to cater to the Hispanic culture and its players, but has now grown to include players of all ethnicities upon the realization that Hispanics are not the only ones that fall into the Latin Flavor Baseball philosophy. It now includes players of all races. Players that play the game with that certain pride….that certain passion….that certain style….that certain flair….that certain flavor. What we’d like to call Latin Flavor.
