Tiburon September Headlines! 9/1/2008 September 11, 2008 Our site goes silent for the day On this very sad day we, The Queens Tiburones, take this time to remember. An act of violence occured on this date and the Tiburones send out all of our best wishes to those families that lost loved ones 7 years ago. Our hearts go out to you and your loved ones on this hard day for us all and we extend a huge hug to all of you. As a person who lived a hop skip and a jump away from the Towers I can honestly say that a day does not go by that I do not appreciate everyone in my life...and I do mean everyone. I forgive quickly and never dwell on things. I love often and never take anything personally. Many things happened in 08'...I had alot of talented players on my squad...some realized thier potential and some didn't however I do not regret meeting every single one of them. To me they were ALL GREAT players who deserve the very best in thier lives! On 9-11-01 I was changed forever...alot of long walks later here I am...CEO of my own baseball team...recruiting some of NYC best talent and I owe it all to the people who fight for FREEDOM. I am a PuertoRican man living in the United States of America...the land of opportunity...and I live in the best city in the world..New York City!! I made a promise never to dwell on issues or people. I love often because we all know that in the blink of an eye that someone may not be there. The Tiburones will have a candle lit in memory of all the souls who have passed on. GOD Bless your Families and GOD Bless America! -James M. Ceo/Queens Tiburones
September 10th, 2008 !!The 2008 MVP!! Congrats goes out to Korey Donaldson and the entire Donaldson family as Korey is the Tiburones 2008 MVP WINNER

Korey is a perfect example of what a player should be like. Korey hustled...Korey played unselfishly...Korey demoted himself in the lineup whenever he wasn't hitting...Korey said and did whatever he had to do to keep his team focused on the prize...Korey never quit lead with his glove and his bat. Playing out of position in left field, Korey a natural third baseman, took on the task of patroling left field and did so humbilly and gracefully. Korey also recommended stellar players like Tristan Massalay-Ellis and his own Twin brother Kyle who along with Korey lead the team with respect and grace. Korey is our 2008 MVP and is also proudly returning to the Tiburones in 09'
!! CY-Young Award!! Congrats goes out to Jaremy Rich and the entire Rich Family as Jaremy is the Tiburones 2008 CY-Young Award WINNER

Jaremy is an example of a player who took the stage every weekend ready to fight. It almost seemed as if Jaremy won every single game we played because Jaremy always kept us in the game. He's Classy and helped our team survive through many battles on the field. A most deserved All Star in 08' Jaremy shut down great offenses like Storm, Royals, Renegades, and Skyline. Jaremy showed the league how to be class both on and off the field. The smile in the above picture tells it all....Jaremy is a class act ball player who will bring not only talent but a level head and level energy. He's gritty and possess's alot of baseball smarts. Unfortunately Jaremy is in Seattle right now, his new home town, but he remains in all our thoughts. Best of luck out there Jaremy!!
September 8th 2008: Ready!! The Tiburones announce a few signings: Catcher Henis R. is a beast at the dish. All he does is hit BOMBS. He's a 6'6" beast of Queens and he's mature and ready to play for the Tiburones. Henis will see action as back up catcher and DH. Kyle Donaldson and Korey Donaldson return to the Tiburones to lead them into their Championship season. Korey goes to Third Base full time and Kyle goes to Right Field full time. They are both deserving of starting jobs and Korey will also dawn the "C" on the field as the NEW Captain of the Tiburones!! Hector Moreno returns as the Tiburones First Baseman bringing a HOT Glove and HOT bat. The Tiburones have also added a pitcher, who's name will remain private for now for fear of other teams scouting him, who throws a 92MPH fastball. He will start and close games for the Tiburones in 2009!! He also carries a HOT stick!! The Tiburones have also many other key positions but choose not to disclose the information at this point. Tristan Massalay-Ellis also returns to the Tiburones. Tristan is an above talented player who along with Korey and Kyle possesses a strong bat and a great attitude. Above all the Tiburones have committed themselves towards having a team that is Mature and Talented. "We do not want the All Star players...we want the players that KNOW HOW and WANT to WIN GAMES!!"
