2006 USSSA 10U
The MAA Black Knights were re-named in 2007.  The team was formed in 2005 as the MAA Texas Rangers.  The Rangers were undefeated until the championship game and lost a heartbreaker to the MAA A’s.  In 2006 the team was re-named the MAA Rattlers.  This team was again undefeated in the regular season and won the 2006 USSSA “A” 10U Nebraska State Championship.  In 2007 the team was once again re-named the MAA Texas Rangers.  With one regular season loss the Rangers went into the Nebraska State Tournament with hopes of repeating its 2006 performance.  The Rangers ended 3rd with a loss in the semi finals to the Nebraska City Jr’s.  In 2008 the newly named Black Knights stepped up a level and competed at 12 AA. After a challenging season against tougher competition than in previous years, the Black Knights played their best ball in the AA State Tournament going 4-0 in pool play to earn the #3 seed in the Championship bracket. The Black Knights drew the tough Lincoln Cyclone team and lost 8-7 in extra innings to the eventual State Champs. The Black Knights will compete against AA and AAA teams in the 2009 baseball season.
