The Maroons are a group of men and women who on the first day of beginner hockey school chose the red jerseys over the blue ones. They learned side by side with their only rival, the team that came to be known as the Jets. After ten weeks of lessons, the season started. Two teams, ten games, both teams guaranteed to be in the championship game. After losing the first six games the Maroons pulled a Lemaire and decided to try their hand at defense. This led to a three game winning streak heading into the championship game. It was a hard fought game which the Maroons won, giving them a HUGE trophy with "State Champions" etched nicely into the brass plaque.

Upon completion of the beginner season both the Maroons and the Jets entered the Twin Cities Adult Hockey Association's D2 league, which is where this web site picks up.
