This fall up to twenty-five top women ice hockey players will join together to form a nationally competitive team, the Minnesota Whitecaps of the Women’s Western Hockey League (WWHL). The league will consist of 4 Canadian teams and the Whitecaps, the sole American member.       

The mission of the Minnesota Wild Rapids Corporation, through establishing the Minnesota Whitecaps, is to offer national level competition for female hockey players, post-college.  By fostering the interest and participation in ice hockey of young female athletes, we will build a base that will continue to generate enthusiasm in the hockey world.

As a part of the inaugural season of our national level women’s ice hockey team, we would like to include you.  Areas in which you could participate include:

•  Purchasing  season tickets and coming to games  


•  Purchasing  programs and team merchandise at booths/game venues


•  Inviting  others to come to games


•  Being a Whitecaps Sponsor

The Whitecaps invite the involvement, encouragement and support of hockey players, such as you, to help us bolster the growth of national level women’s ice hockey competition…an idea whose time has come.
