The Middle Tennessee Monarchs Baseball Team was founded in 1996 by Jeff Hartline.  Jeff's vision was to provide homeschooled young men an opportunity to play competitive high school baseball and possibly advance to the collegiate baseball level without having to return to a traditional school setting.

He coached the Monarchs through nine seasons and was instrumental in securing the first ever Homeschool World Series tournament in Nashville, Tennessee in 2000.  Because of his dedication, commitment and tireless efforts, the Monarchs' organization has also been able to field middle school and junior varsity teams through the years.

Eight Monarch alumni have played at the collegiate level at Belmont University, Cumberland University, Louisiana Tech University, and Western Kentucky University.

An award, named in his honor, is given each year to the varsity player who exemplifies integrity, honor, commitment and a true love of the game of baseball.
