New Jersey built a 12-poin lead at the half and cruised to a 33-22 victory over New York before a sparse crowd at sweltering Rutgers Stadium in Piscataway yesterday in the 11th NY-NJ All-Star Classic. The New Jersey lineup was loaded with athletes headed to major Division 1 colleges, including eight Rutgers recruits. New York countered with a roster dominated by athletes headed to Division 1-AA and junior colleges. It would show on the first possession of the game, as well as in the end result.
