 Meeting Minutes

June 10th, 2009

 

 

In attendance:

 Scott Schlereth, Al Kaiser, Ed Van Luvender,  Bob Boscia, Ernie Wallerstein, Bob Reidmiller, Jim Freda, Scott VanNess, Bill Ippolito, Jason Yorn, Dan Nolan, Robert Fletcher, Mike Heredia, Ray Bears.

Points of Discussion:

  1) Golf Outing

            ◦ June 19th at Skyview

            ◦ 30 hole sponsors

            ◦ Modell’s donated $400 & Walmart donated $160.

            ◦ Currently have 28 foursomes committed.

            ◦ 80 prizes will be given out, as well as a stainless steel beer mug for all players.

            ◦ There will be a 50/50, as well as prizes for longest drive, closest to the pin & lowest foursome.

  3) Registration- available online

            ◦ June 13th from noon-4:30pm at Spring Street.

            ◦ June 20th from 9am-noon at Memory Park.

            ◦ Must be registered by June 30th to avoid late fees.  We also have to submit # of teams to the league by July 1st.

  4) Equipment

            ◦ We are purchasing 14 new Revolution helmets.

            ◦ Integrated pants have been ordered for the pony and supers levels.

            ◦ Other new purchases include new chains/first down markers, yard markers and pile ons.

  5) The Newton High School football coach will be running a football camp on Aug. 3,4&5 from 8:30am-12:30pm for ages 8 through 8th grade.  The cost is $40.  Please contact Scott Schlereth or register online if interested.  There are also camps run by Pope John & Don Bosco.  Contact Scott Schlereth if interested.

 

***THE NEXT MEETING IS JULY 8TH @ 8PM…VFW.  THIS MEETING IS MANDATORY FOR ALL HEAD AND ASSISTANT COACHES AT ALL LEVELS.
