 Meeting Minutes

May 13th, 2009

 

 

In attendance:

 Scott Schlereth, Al Kaiser, Ed Van Luvender, Dave Brewster,  Bob Boscia, Ernie Wallerstein, Chuck Fantasia, Dave Young, George Cramer, Bob Reidmiller, Jim Freda, Teddy Sibbles, Ray Ross, Rufus Coward.

Points of Discussion:

 1) League Meeting notes:

           ◦ Penalties will stay at 4,8 & 12 yards, rather than changing to 5,10 & 15 yards.

           ◦ West Milford is holding a Rutgers Certification class. Contact Ed Van Luvender for the date.

           ◦ Championship games will be hosted by West Milford this year.

  2) Golf Outing

            ◦ June 19th at Skyview

            ◦ 11 verbal commitments from sponsors…goal is at least 18.

            ◦  Toyota has committed to sponsor a hole in one.

            ◦  We are hoping for at least 100 golfers.

  3) Registration

            ◦  Tentative dates of June 6th & 13th from 9am-2pm at Memory Park.

            ◦  Looking for coaches to cover part of the registration times.

  4) Equipment

            ◦ Helmets were picked up by Riddell.

            ◦ Integrated pants- continued discussion over the possibility of using them for the lower levels.

            ◦ Discussion over improvement in the equipment hand out & return process.  We will discuss this in more detail at the next meeting.

            ◦ New Chains, first down markers and endzone pile ons are among the items that need to be replaced this year.  We are also considering a mobile fence.
