 Meeting Minutes

August 6th, 2009

 

 

In attendance:

 Scott Schlereth, Al Kaiser, Ed Van Luvender,  Bob Reidmiller, Jason Yorn, Mike Heredia, Teddy Sibblies, Bob Decker, John Bottone, Chuck Fantasia, Dave Young, Anthony Brigante, Anthony Borgognoni, Ernie Wallerstein, Rufus Coward, Robert Stogner, Dave Brewster, Kevin Pappas, George “Buddy Ryan” Cramer.

 

Points of Discussion:

  1) Newton High School Camp

            ◦ The camp held by Newton High School head coach Tom Brennan was a big success.  Tom had several of his players there to assist, including players that are now playing at the collegiate level.   The boys seemed to get a lot out of the camp, and had fun at the same time.  Thanks again to Tom and his players for dedicating his time for our program.

  2) Scrimmages

            ◦  Friday, 8/14- Program wide scrimmage against High Point.  The Midgets and Peewees will travel to H.P.   The Supers and Ponies will play in Newton.

            ◦  Tuesday, 8/18- Program wide scrimmage at Rockaway Twp.

            ◦  “Jamboree”- Friday, 8/21- Peewees and Midgets, starting @ 5:30.

                                - Saturday, 8/22- Ponies & Supers, starting @ 1:30.  There will be a DJ to lead a pep rally in the evening.  Cheerleaders and football players of all levels expected to attend.

            ◦ Week of 8/24- Program wide scrimmage against Morristown…date TBA.

  3) The coaches rules interpretation/carding meetings will be held on Aug 11th  at the Latell Center in Franklin.  All new coaches must attend.  At least one rep from each team is required to attend.

  4) Practice Jerseys due to arrive Friday, 7/14.

  5) Need Volunteers to announce home games.  Please contact Scott Schlereth or Ernie Wallerstein if you can help.

  6) Flag and Supers will get new game jerseys for this season.

  7) We need a league rep. alternate that can eventually become the league rep.  Please contact Ed Van Luvender if you are interested.

  8) The Roster Meeting will be held on Thursday, 9/3.  Please have all birth certificates ready.
