By creating the Bronx Diamondbacks, Pete Alvarez is very confident that his team will make a huge impact in Single A, but it's gonna take alot of hard work and dedication from his talented and exciting team. Diamondbacks are definitely the team to beat in the 2009 season, Pete Alvarez is working very hard in gathering all combinations that take to win which consist on respect,talent and the hunger to win as a unit! its gonna be exciting to be a part of the NYCMBL that every year get's better. Diamondbacks would also like to wish every team in the league a healthy 2009 season!

Playoffs update 2009

First round> D'backs sweep beers  4-1 and 12-0

Second round> D'backs vs Skyscrapers results below.

With 12 outs in continuation of game #2 D-backs come back from trailing 4-1 and win 12-5 forcing a game #3. In game #3, D-backs had the head start winning 6-0 through the first 5 innings to then have the Scrapers come back to win 8-6. Turning point of the game came down to errors all over again which the D-backs had a hard time excepting that a game can turn around in just seconds.

D'backs finish in their first season with a record of 22-8-2 also the second round of the playoffs.
