ABOUT US
The NYRHL is a competitve roller hockey league that plays at Ice Time Sports Complex in Newburgh, NY.  We are officially sanctioned by USA Hockey Inline and are one of the top adult leagues in the Hudson Valley, with membership of over 200 in 2008. 

BASICS
The league offers two levels of competitive play - Division 1 and Division 2. The league runs from May through August which includes an All-Star Game and full playoff experience that includes "Best of 3" series. Games are played 5 on 5 with two halves of twenty (20) minutes.  Stop time format is used.  The NYRHL uses the IDS Pro Shot Puck.

WHO CAN PLAY
You can register as an individual player or you can enter as a team.  Please note that the league does not place individual players on rosters.  The names are added to a 'Players List' where team captains can contact them if they have open spots on their rosters.  If the player list is long enough to form a team, every effort will be made to make that list a team so they have a chance to play.

AGE LIMIT
The NYRHL is an adult league, and USA Hockey Inline defines the Adult division as "18 and over".  However, Players in the 17U division are allowed to "Play Up" a level and have a spot on a team roster.  Age is determined by how old the player will be on December 31, 2008.

INSURANCE
ALL players, coaches, and referees MUST be registered with USA Hockey Inline insurance in order to participate in the league.  There are NO EXCEPTIONS to this rule.  Keep in mind that USA Hockey insurance for ice hockey is separate from USA Hockey Inline insurance.

RULES
The league is officially sanctioned by USA Hockey Inline, and will follow the guidelines of their 2007-09 rulebook.  Any approved modifications from that rulebook as well as league bylaws will be instructed to all team captains prior to the season.
