The u12 Ocala Lightning girls are also proud members of the Florida Youth Soccer Association and the Big Sun Youth Soccer League.

The Big Sun Youth Soccer League is the FYSA sanctioned soccer program in Ocala.

There are five national youth soccer sanctioning bodies that are affiliates of the United States Soccer Federation, USYSA, AYSO, US Club Soccer, SAY and USSSA.

There is also the Super-Y league which is part of the United Soccer Leagues- USL, and the United States Soccer Federation has directly started its own national youth league for older, top tier, players.

The Florida Youth Soccer Association is the state organization of USYSA, otherwise known as US Youth Soccer.
