The Chattanooga Patriots Basketball Team was founded in 2005 by C.S.T.H.E.A., The Chattanooga Southeast Tennessee Home Educators Association, and with the tireless help of many volunteers. It is the first and only sports association in the Chattanooga area offering opportunities to home schooled students to participate in organized athletics. Since its inception, the basketball program has grown in size and stature competing with many other home school, private Christian, and public school teams. In only it's second year, the varsity boys team won its first National Championship at the National Association of Christian Athletics (NACA) held in Dayton, TN. Since 2005, the Patriots have expanded to Baseball, Soccer, Golf, Tennis, and Cross-Country teams.
