A big celebration for the Living Legend’s 62nd birthday on March 8 is being prepared by the PBA Legends USA Foundation headed by its chairman Abe King, Sonny Jaworski’s former Toyota teammate.

According to Abe, it  be a week long series of festivities where the biggest names in the PBA will play each other in selected cities in California.

“The Filipinos here are very excited. The response to the event is overwhelming. Imagine, they will see their idols at close range and even hobnob with them,” Abe said.

Jaworski and the other legends will be in California from March 8 to 16 during the conference break.

Expected to join the entourage are Alvin Patrimonio, Samboy Lim, Allan Caidic, Hector Calma, Dindo Pumaren, Manny Victorino, Vergel Meneses, Jojo Lastimosa, Gerry Esplana, Bong Ravena and others, with Baby Dalupan and Dante Silverio as coaches of the opposing teams.

Rufino Ignacio, who used to be with the PBA’s Countryfair ballclub and is now working closely with Abe and the Foundation, will be in Manila next week to finalize arrangements for Big J’s birthday bash.
