Pemberton Youth Soccer & Volunteering:
PYSA is always looking for volunteers to help out with coaching, asst. coaching, team managing, equipment sorting, phoning people, assisting with events, fundraising and being a board of directors. We all lead busy lives, but volunteers are a necessary part of PYSA. Whether you can spare two hours a week or two hours a month, it is all greatly appreciated. Our children are the ones who benefit!

What are some benefits of volunteering?
Volunteering can have a meaningful and positive impact on our community. Most people find themselves in need at some point in their lives. Today, we may be the person with time to help; tomorrow, we may be the recipients of someone else's volunteer effort. There are a lot of positive rewards that come from volunteering, which include, gaining work experience, making a difference in someone’s life, improvement of health, meeting new people and the most importantly, an overall fun experience.

Volunteering for students…
For youth, volunteering brings a new sense of confidence. It enables young people to develop new communication and social skills and assist with career building skills. Pemberton High School has a volunteer hour requirement for graduating students.

If you are interested in volunteering with the PYSA we have many opportunities. If you have a few hours you can spare please contact the administrator falloon@telus.net or call 604-894-6130.
